MIAMI | On All Souls' Day, Archbishop Thomas Wenski celebrated Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doral, and Auxiliary Bishop Enrique Delgado of Miami celebrated Mass at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale on November 2, 2024.
“We were blessed to gather in remembrance and prayer to honor the souls of those who have gone before us,” said Linda Lamers, senior director Marketing/Communications for Catholic Health Services. She explained that this year, Catholic Cemeteries and Catholic Hospice of Catholic Health Services, partnered as ministries of the Archdiocese of Miami to bring comfort to our community on this significant day.
"Though our loved ones rest in God’s eternal embrace, they live on in the memories we carry. In their honor, we created a special Memory Wall, where visitors could place hearts bearing the names of their loved ones. These names will be held in prayer in our chapel for the next nine days—a gentle reminder that our love and prayers keep them close to God’s everlasting care,” Lamers said.
May our prayers bring comfort to our hearts and peace to the souls of those we remember.
