Inspired by the words of Mary, Our Mother, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38), the Carmelite Sisters are delighted to announce the beginning of Handmaidens, a young adult women's faith formation group here in Miami!
Originally founded in Los Angeles, Handmaidens is for women ages 18-35 who seek to encounter the Hearts of Jesus and Mary and grow in vibrant Catholic discipleship. Each gathering includes prayer, fellowship, conferences led by the Carmelite Sisters, Adoration, and small group discussions.

We'll be focusing on:
- 2024-25 Theme: Hearts on Fire: Friends for a Eucharistic Revival—deepening our devotion to the Eucharist
- Learning about Carmelite spirituality and the wisdom of the saints through conferences and small group discussions
Schedule:
- 5:00 - Dinner (bring your own)
- 6:00 - Conference: On St. Elizabeth of the Trinity and the Eucharist
- 6:30 - Small Groups
- 7:00 - Adoration
- 8:00 - Repose & Farewell
