MIAMI | Parishioners at St. Mary Cathedral, mother church of the archdiocese, joined fellow Catholics worldwide in remembering the death and resurrection of Jesus April 18 and 19, 2025.
Good Friday observances included Adoration of the Holy Cross; the Passion Narrative from the Gospel According to St. John; and the Via Crucis, the Stations of the Cross and a procession with parishioners carrying a cross and statues of Jesus and Mary.
For the Easter Vigil Mass, observances included the Blessing of the New Fire; the procession of the Paschal Candle and proclamation of the Light of Christ; and baptism of confirmands as new members of the Church.
