Seven archdiocesan priests were officially elevated to the rank of monsignor, one was elevated to a higher rank and a ninth received the Pro Ecclesia et Pontiifice cross during a vespers and ceremony of investiture celebrated March 10 at St. Mary Cathedral. These were the last Miami priests to receive papal honors under Pope Benedict XVI and the first to do so under Archbishop Thomas Wenski.
