Inspired by the words of Mary, Our Mother, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” - Luke 1:38, the Carmelite Sisters are delighted to announce the beginning of Handmaidens, a young adult women's faith formation group here in Miami! Originally founded in Los Angeles, Handmaidens is open to single women, ages 18 to 35, who are seeking to grow in their relationship with Our Lord and Blessed Mother in their faith journey walking alongside other women.

Handmaidens is designed to help young women deepen their understanding of their God-given dignity and vocation. With the guidance of the Carmelite Sisters, we will explore living a life of holiness in today’s world through prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, conferences, praise & worship, and small group discussions.
Join us as we journey with our Carmelite saints to discover, embrace, and flourish in our identity as women. The theme for this year of 2024-2025 is:
