Focus Eleven 2025
May 15, 2025 & May 16, 2025 - at 8:30 AM - English
We are excited to announce the 2025 Focus Eleven Vocations Rally for sixth graders, a unique event designed to educate students about the process of discernment to spark meaningful conversations about their future vocation.
This "Vocations Field Trip” will last approximately four hours during the school day and will be arranged through the schools’ 6th grade teachers. It aims to provide our Catholic 6th grade boys and girls with insights into various ways to serve the Church in ordained or consecrated ministry. Students will have the opportunity to interact with priests, seminarians and religious from the archdiocese and various religious orders. They will be invited to prayerfully consider their own vocation. The event will feature a dynamic program of music, activities, fellowship, and prayer.
We are grateful for the support of the Department of Schools and Archbishop Wenski, who will personally address the students each day of the event.
We look forward to a day of inspiration and meaningful exploration of vocations.

Focus
Eleven is a program that was first introduced in 1989 in the Archdiocese of
Detroit to foster vocation awareness among 6th graders
(11-year-olds) and 11th graders. The initiative targets these age
groups based on research indicating that many priests and religious first
considered ministry around these ages. The program provides lesson plans,
exercises, and prayer services to encourage reflection on religious vocations
and is adaptable for use in schools, youth ministries, and retreats.
Due
to the large number of schools and 6th graders, Focus Eleven will be
held over four days at two locations within the Archdiocese of Miami:
- May 13-14, 2025, at St. Gregory the Great for Broward County Catholic schools
- May 15-16, 2025, at St. John Vianney College Seminary for Miami-Dade County Catholic schools
There
is no cost for this event. However, each student will need to bring a bag
lunch, and each school is asked to provide transportation to and from their
designated location, along with the necessary teachers and chaperones.
Please
note that 11th graders will participate in a separate event.
We
will provide all the necessary information via email and the Pastoral Bulletin.
Thank
you in advance for your collaboration, participation, and enthusiasm!
