MIAMI | Accompanied by a number of Florida bishops, Archbishop Thomas Wenski on Feb. 22 rededicated a statue of St. John Vianney at the entrance to his namesake seminary in Miami.
The statue had fallen during Hurricane Irma: the saint lost his head and the pedestal was damaged. Over the past few months, the pedestal was rebuilt and the saint's image was restored at a local foundry.
Also attending the ceremony were the seminarians who are studying at St. John Vianney, seminary rector Father Ferdinand Santos, and priests and other staff and faculty.
