MIAMI | Students at St. Brendan Elementary School held their annual Advent Family Service Night to benefit area charities. About 740 students took part.
They brought their goods to school on the night of Dec. 17. Each grade level chooses a charity to help all year.
As the students gathered to finish their projects, their parents held a night of reflection at St. Brendan Church. Father Miguel Sepulveda, the pastor, spoke on the importance of service.
