Eighth-graders at St. Agnes Academy buddy up for the recent Scholastic Olympics in Miami.
KEY BISCAYNE | Eighth-graders at St. Agnes Academy took home several medals in the recent Scholastic Olympics at Christopher Columbus High School.
Individual medal winners included:
- Filipe da Silva, second place in English.
- Diego Nunez, second place in history.
- Anabella Poleo, third place in history.
- Alonso Compean, second place in math.
- Jaime Eulate-Gimenez, second place in Spanish.
- Natalia Godoy, second place in music.
- Nicolas Aguila, first place in physical education.
- Carlota Tamayo, second place in physical education.
The school’s debate team won a third-place award. Team members included Camila Echeverri, Lola Dolz de Espejo, Alessa Larosa and Victoria Sanz de Acedo.
The St. Agnes students competed against students from 20 schools.
