DORAL | Three Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary made their first vows Dec. 11, 2020, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doral: Sister Anamargarita Maria, Sister Catherine Nazaret, and Sister Maria Belen.
Above is a slideshow of photographs from the ceremony, where Archbishop Thomas Wenski presided. You can read his homily here.
The Servants of the Pierced Hearts are a diocesan community, founded in the Archdiocese of Miami 30 years ago. In addition to the three vows of poverty, chastity and obedience, the Servants of the Pierced Hearts take a fourth vow of "total Marian availability."
Members of the community currently work in the Archdiocese of Miami and also have communities in the dioceses of Orlando and St. Augustine, Florida; Peoria, Illinois; Phoenix, Arizona; and the Diocese of the Military Ordinariate of Italy. Among their many ministries, they work as parish directors of religious education, pastoral assistants, in teaching and as hospital chaplains.
