MIAMI | Immaculata-La Salle High School has been recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for the 2019-2022 school years, for its commitment to designing learning opportunities that leverage technology to create relevant and engaging experiences for its students.

Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence that use technology to inspire creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. They showcase innovative uses of technology in learning, teaching, and the school environment and have documented results of academic accomplishment.

"We are excited to be recognized as an Apple Distinguished School," said Salesian Sister Kim Keraitis, the school's principal. "Our faculty and staff go above and beyond to create learning opportunities that really inspire our students to be responsible, contributing members of society and global citizens who can use technology as a tool to help shape their lives and their community,"

The selection of lmmaculata-La Salle as an Apple Distinguished School highlights the school's success as an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment.

"Redefining Catholic education to meet the needs of our students and families in our rapidly changing world has always been the driving force behind our mission and vision. It is why we began discussions surrounding technology and using Apple devices in 2010 and what helped shape our 1:1 iPad program rollout in 2012," said Catherine Campos, the school's dean of technology.

Alishea Jurado, the school's dean of innovation added, "We are extremely proud of our approach to technology integration and we understand the importance of digital literacy in empowering students to use their Catholic identity and faith to help guide the ways in which they leverage technology."

Immaculata-LaSalle High School provides the highest quality Catholic education based on the Gospel and St. John Bosco's educational philosophy.
