DORAL | Hundreds of people turned out Oct. 13 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church here to mark the 100th anniversary of the Virgin Mary's apparitions at Fatima, which concluded Oct. 13, 1917.
The closing celebration, organized by the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary, included a rosary, veneration of a relic of St. John Paul II, a Mass and candlelight procession around the church grounds.
Since May 13, the date of the first apparition at Fatima, the Servants have been leading monthly events at parishes throughout the archdiocese to mark the centennial.
