Cathedral school students learn J is for journalism

MIAMI | During a lesson on the letter J, the PreK3 students at St. Mary Cathedral School got to learn about journalism, including taking pictures and creating their own front page.

Rocío Granados, staff writer for La Voz Católica and a mom to one of the students, provided the lesson, showing students the notebook where she writes down what she sees, and letting them use her camera to take pictures.

As the final step in the lesson, the students were given a blank replica of a Florida Catholic front page, and told to create their own. They cut out stories from other Florida Catholic editions and added their own art to create a tabloid of breaking news - for the PreK3 world.
