Priest

Father Robert (Bob) C. Richardson, 88, a priest of the Archdiocese of Washington (DC), died Oct. 28, 2023, atVilla Maria Nursing Center in North Miami. He marked 50 years in the priesthood in 2021. Since retiring from fulltime ministry in 2005, he helped in various ministries within the Archdiocese of Miami, including the Charismatic RenewalKnights of Columbus, Annunciation Parish in West Park, St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish in Pembroke Pines, Little Flower in Hollywood, and others. Auxiliary Bishop Enrique Delgado celebrated the funeral Mass Nov. 8 at Little Flower, followed by burial at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale. Deacon

Deacon Santos Rodriguez, 74, died Nov. 11, 2023 at his home in Homestead. Ordained for the Archdiocese of Miami in 1989, he served at Good Shepherd and St. Martin de Porres parishes until his retirement in 2021. He is survived by this wife, Norma Rodriguez, six children, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 16 at St. Martin de Porres Church, followed by burial at Our Lady of Mercy in Doral. Condolences may be send c/o the church, 14881 S.W. 288 St., Homestead.


Sisters

Dominican Sister Mary J. Beaubien, 95, formerly known as Sister Clare Olivia, died Oct. 25, 2023, at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian, Michigan. She was in the 78th year of her religious profession in the Adrian Dominican Congregation, having ministered at all levels of education for 46 years, including from 1970-76 as a professor at Barry University in Miami Shores. Funeral Mass and burial took place Nov. 2 in Adrian, Michigan.

Dominican Sister Marlene Kuhnlein, 89, formerly known as Sister Anthony Irene, died Oct. 28, 2023, at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian, Michigan. She was in the 72nd year of her religious profession in the Adrian Dominican Congregation and had been on the staff of Catholic Charities’ St. Vincent Home in Miami from 1970-74. Funeral Mass and burial took place Nov. 3 in Adrian, Michigan.

Lousina Jean Tillus Brevil, 93, mother of Father Reynold Brevil, died Nov. 11, 2023, in Haiti. Funeral in Haiti with memorial Mass in Miami at a later date. Condolences may be sent c/o St. Mary Cathedral, where Father Brevil is parochial vicar: 7525 N.W. Second Ave., Miami, FL 33150.

Johnson Mesidor, 55, brother of Father Franky Jean, pastor of St. Stephen Parish in Miramar, died suddenly Oct. 25, 2023. Funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 4 at St. Stephen, 6044 S.W. 19 St., Miramar, where condolences also may be sent.

Fabiana Elizabeth Farías, sister of Deacon Edgardo Farías, director of Detention Ministry, died Oct. 17, 2023, in Argentina. Among her survivors are her three children, Florencia, Agustín and Ramón. Condolences may be sent to Deacon Farías at the Pastoral Center, 9401 Biscayne Blvd., Miami.

Esterlene Felder Colebrook, 98, mother of Katrenia Reeves-Jackman, director of the Office of Black Catholic Ministry, died Nov. 7, 2023. She was one of the founding members of St. Philip Neri Church, 15700 N.W. 20Ave. Road, Miami Gardens. Funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 18 at St. James Church in North Miami, followed by burial at Our Lady of Mercy in Doral. Condolences may be sent c/o St. Philip Neri Church.

Rosalie Anne Taborsky, 91, mother of Rosalie Modzelewski, archdiocesan director of Stewardship, died Oct. 4, 2023. Funeral Mass celebrated Oct. 21 at St. Philomena Church in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, with burial at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in nearby Springfield. Dr. Miguel Cadena Méndez, 75, father of Brenda Madhosingh, administrative assistant in the Office of Parish Life, died Nov. 5, 2023, in Mexico, where funeral services were held. Condolences may be sent c/o the Pastoral Center, 9401 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL 33138.
