Miami ... (March 27, 2023) Archbishop Thomas Wenski will celebrate Holy Thursday’s Mass of the Lord’s Supper, Good Friday Service of the Lord’s Passion, and Easter Vigil St. Mary Cathedral, 7525 N.W. Second Ave., Miami.
These three days constitute the Triduum, the three-day celebration of the death and resurrection of Christ that concludes Holy Week, the holiest days of the year for Christians.
On Holy Thursday, April 6: Archbishop Wenski will celebrate the Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 8 p.m. It will be followed by Eucharistic Adoration at the Altar of Repose until 10 p.m.
During
the Mass, Archbishop Wenski will wash the feet of selected parishioners,
recalling the actions of Christ at the Last Supper.
On
Good Friday, April 7: Archbishop Wenski will celebrate the Liturgy of the
Lord's Passion at 3 p.m., which includes the Veneration of the Cross.
On
Holy Saturday, April 8: Archbishop Wenski will celebrate the Easter Vigil Mass
at 8 p.m., which will include the blessing of the New Fire and the initiation
of new Catholics into the Church.
