Archdiocese announces resumption of in-class instruction

Catholic schools will 'phase-in' students beginning September 23

MIAMI | Archbishop Thomas Wenski, after consultation with Archdiocese of Miami administrators, pastors, and school principals, is announcing that Catholic schools in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties, while continuing to offer “distance learning," will phase-in the return of students to in-classroom instruction beginning Wednesday, September 23.

Each school (including 49 elementary schools and eight high schools) has in place a “Phase-In” plan to facilitate the orderly return to in-classroom instruction. After-school care will be offered where available. Each school will publish its plan for which day the class/grade returns on its website.

This “phased in” return of students will be completed by Friday, October 2. Again, parents may opt for their child(ren) to continue their education via distance learning.
