MIAMI | This year's "Reading Under the Stars" event at St. Kevin School celebrated a home-grown talent: the release of “I am Happy,” a new children’s book written and illustrated by St. Kevin teacher Carlota Fernandez.

Throughout the night, eighth grade students from St. Kevin’s Thespian Honor Society read the book to students. They also led the activities on gratitude available from the book’s website.
“I am Happy” is a resource to assist parents and teachers develop the virtue of gratitude in children. The practice of gratitude has been linked by researchers to living a happier, healthier life.
