PERRINE � Santa Claus came early for children at Good Shepherd Day Care center.
About 300 pre-school children, ages 3 to 5, received gifts Dec. 14 at the center, which serves low-income families and is operated by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Miami.
NBC Channel 6 and Telemundo 51 sponsored the 18th annual Caravan of Joy toy drive, which also delivered toys to six other non-profit children's organizations in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
The event featured Santa arriving on a fire truck.
