Miami Shores (October 8, 2024) – Following recent news regarding the expected landfall of Hurricane Milton to Florida’s west coast, The Archdiocese of Miami has announced that all Archdiocese of Miami Catholic schools in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties will be closed on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 and Thursday, October 10, 2024.  

The Basilica School of St. Mary Star of the Sea in Key West is expected to be closed on Wednesday but re-open on Thursday. 

While it is expected that the passage of the Hurricane will allow for normal operations in all schools on Friday, further decisions regarding operations on Friday, October 11 will be confirmed once the trajectory of the hurricane is better known.
