Hialeah to be consecrated to Sacred Heart of Jesus & Immaculate Heart of Mary

Miami (August 27, 2014) Most Rev. Thomas Wenski, Archbishop of Miami, the Honorable Mayor of the City of Hialeah, Carlos Hernandez, and Father Manuel J. Alvarez, pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, invite the community and media to a special Mass for the consecration of the City of Hialeah to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The Mass, which is organized by the Mission for the Love of God Worldwide, will take place Friday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 4497 W. First Ave., Hialeah, FL 33012.

Meaning of consecration:

When we consecrate ourselves to God, a pact is established between the Father and His child. It is an act that will never be broken by God.  It is a bond of love and protection. Consecration is the personal offering of ourselves and everything we have to God. The Consecration of the City of Hialeah is a historical event where Archbishop Thomas Wenski will place the city and its citizens into the loving hands of God.
