MIAMI | A second grade class from Sts. Peter and Paul is the first in the school’s history to achieve National Honor Roll status in the Accelerated Reader program.
Over a
period of 25 weeks, Leonor Martinez’s second grade class had an average of 97
percent on quizzes taken, engaged in 35 minutes of reading, and all students reached
an 85 percent average goal.
The program is coordinated by fifth grade teacher Maria Elena Jude, with help from ETC Education Consultant Maria Ferraris. Sts. Peter and Paul School also is grateful to the Navarro Educational Foundation for being instrumental in this achievement.
