Miami� (November 4, 2013) A life-size statue of San Lazaro the Poor, the saint venerated by thousands of Cubans, has arrived to San Lazaro Church in Hialeah, FL and is now on display for all those in the community who would like to venerate the saint.
The statue arrived on October 30th from Arte Granda, Spain and will now reside in San Lazaro church. This is the first time in the Archdiocese of Miami that an image of San Lazaro the Poor has been venerated in a Catholic parish.
Archbishop Thomas Wenski will bless the statue on December 17, 2013 at the Feast Day Mass at 7:30 p.m. at the Parish.
San Lazaro Church is located at 4400 West 18th Avenue Hialeah, FL.
