Members of the Synod focus team on Adult Faith Formation held their first meeting Nov. 13 in the archdiocesan Pastoral Center. The first task: to group the many Synod listening session suggestions into several manageable categories, so that team members can study them and make concrete recommendations to the archbishop.

MIAMI Some - such as the one on the Social Mission of the Church - just began meeting. Others have already met for the second of their three scheduled sessions. But the bottom line is this: the work of the second archdiocesan Synod continues, now in a less visible, but no less active or important, stage: the focus team meetings.

About 600 people are involved in these meetings, with 10 focus teams comprised of 20 to 40 members each. Here are pictures from a recent one. Look for more information in the coming weeks, online and in the print edition of the Florida Catholic.
