Ft. Lauderdale� On Wednesday, September 30th at 6PM Archbishop John C. Favalora will join Fr. Rob�s Charles and parishioners from Divine Mercy Haitian Mission for a procession to their new home at St. Clement Catholic Church, 2 miles away.
- At 4PM people will begin to process towards St. Clement's praying the rosary and singing.
- At 5:30PM the Tabernacle (vessel for preserving and exhibiting the Blessed Sacrament), Divine Mercy icon (religious work of art) and the statue of the Blessed Mother from Divine Mercy Haitian Mission will be placed onto a float as part of the procession to its new home at St. Clement.
- At 6PM Archbishop Favalora joins parishioners from both Churches as the people process praying the rosary, singing songs and carrying flags from various countries that will be represented in the newly merged parish community at St. Clement.
- At 6:30PM parishioners will have a candlelight walk around St. Clement Church and conclude with Fr. Rob�s Charles, former pastor at Divine Mercy Haitian Mission and new pastor at St. Clement, knocking on the main door of the Church. Fr. Wilfredo Contreras, parochial vicar, will answer by opening the doors of St. Clement Church and welcoming the parishioners from Divine Mercy to their new home.
- The celebration will culminate with a Mass led by Archbishop Favalora at St. Clement at 7:30PM.
Procession Route :
ExitDivine Mercy Haitian Mission going north on 6th avenue, make a right on 13th Street then a left on Andrews Avenue and proceed straight until you reach St. Clement, enter through the north entrance. A Candlelight procession will circle around the Church and conclude by entering through the church's main door.
Divine Mercy Haitian Mission is located at 1105 NW 6th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale and St. Clement Catholic Church is located 2975 N. Andrews Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale.
