St. Helen Catholic School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking a full-time Art Teacher for grades K-8 for the upcoming 2025-26 school year. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Art for grade levels Kindergarten- 8th. This teacher performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in art education or related field.
- FDOE Teaching certificate in Art Education, temporary or professional required.
- Minimum of 1 year classroom experience.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong presentation skills with the use of instructional technologies.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Must have clear and concise communications with students and parents.
- Excellent English language communication skills, verbal and written.
- Supportive and res4pectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of the basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
