St. Jerome Catholic School in Southeast Broward County, Florida, has an opening for a full-time Elementary Teacher Assistant for the upcoming 2025-26 school year, to serve in grades Kindergarten Grade 2. The applicant must be nurturing, creative and a dedicated professional with the ability to support the learning environment, cultivate critical thinking skills, work collaboratively as part of a team, and lead small group lessons. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and tenets of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree. BS / BA Degree in Education preferred.
- Ready to substitute in different classrooms, as needed and as instructed by Principal.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Good presentation skills with the use of instructional technologies.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel; PowerPoint a plus.
- Excellent oral and written English -language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
