English ESE Teacher

Immaculata - La Salle High School, a private Catholic school in Miami, Florida is looking to hire a qualified and experienced English ESE Teacher for the 2025-26 school year who has a deep understanding of language and literature that will allow him or her to create lessons that are relevant to the students and that enhance the students’ conceptual understanding of the functions of language and literature in their own lives as they learn and apply academic concepts through diverse teaching methodologies. The candidate begins on August 1, 2025, and performs all duties and responsibilities with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications
- Ability to teach all levels of high school English with an emphasis on building reading and writing skills.
- Familiarity with iPad Applications and have a willingness to work with such technology.
- Familiarity with MS Office, online gradebooks, and other online educational applications; he/she should have a willingness to work with such technology.
- Varied teaching methodologies and a willingness to continue to learn in their teaching profession.
- A desire to help guide high school students towards a holistic formation of personhood.
- Bachelor’s Degree in English/ ESE Education or related field.
- Master’s Degree in ESE Education and/or English preferred.
- FDOE Teaching in Certification English 6-12; ESE preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good computer literacy, including ability to navigate online applications and search engines effectively.
- Good spelling and grammar are required.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Supportive of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic tenets of Catholic Church.
- Must have a professional demeanor.
