St. Theresa Catholic School celebrates Carmelite Mother Luisita Day

CORAL GABLES| Students, families, teachers and faculty, and the Carmelite Sisters of St. Theresa School celebrated a special Mass in Church of the Little Flower in honor of Mother Luisita on Feb. 14, 2025. Following the Mass, a Eucharistic procession from the parish to the school took place, with adoration in the school's courtyard.

Venerable Mother Maria Luisa Josefa of the Most Blessed Sacrament, or Mother Luisita, who is on the path to canonization, established the order of the Carmelite Sisters of the Sacred Heart in Mexico and the U.S. 

St. Theresa School in Coral Gables is staffed by the Carmelite Sisters.
