MIAMI GARDENS| The Office of Catholic Schools held their last principals' meeting of the academic year on May 2, 2024, at St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens.
The day-long gathering included a Mass in St. Anthony’s Chapel on the university’s campus, celebrated by Father Bryan Garcia, St. John Vianney’s vice-rector and dean of seminarians, and other priests.
Father Garcia blessed outgoing principals who were retiring or leaving to pursue other projects. Among them were Eric Palacio, Mary, Help of Christians School, Parkland; Althea Mossop, Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School, Fort Lauderdale; Ana Garcia, Monsignor Edward Pace High School,Miami Gardens; Eddy Garcia, St. Louis Covenant School, Pinecrest; Tom Halfaker, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish School, Kendall; Victoria Leon, Immaculate Conception Parish School, Hialeah.
Archdiocesan school principals who completed their first year as principals were also recognized at the event. Among them were Arlee Pabustan, St. Helen School, Fort Lauderdale; Kevin Molina, Archbishop Edward McCarthy High School, Southwest Ranches; Amanda Delgado, Sts. Peter and Paul School, Miami; Joanna Morris, Basilica School of St. Mary Star of the Sea, Key West; Jaqueline Schuck, St. Bernadette School, Hollywood.
