BOYNTON BEACH | Archbishop Thomas Wenski and all the bishops of Florida were on hand at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach Dec. 7 for the blessing and dedication of new dormitories. The bishops and seminarians also celebrated Mass together for the second Sunday of Advent.

The seminary currently has 95 students enrolled from all the dioceses in Florida as well as Atlanta and Kingston, Jamaica, including 25 from Miami. Enrollment is expected to increase to 110 next year.

The new dorms are the first new building on campus since a freestanding library and administration offices were built in 1995, and combined with increased enrollment, signal a renewal for the institution, which marked its 50th anniversary last year. In fact, St. Vincent de Paul Seminary is currently enjoying some of the highest enrollment in its history.
