Miamiā¦(November 21, 2014) As a gesture of solidarity with students and staff from Florida State University after the recent shooting that took place on their campus, the Archdiocese of Miami has called out via its social media accounts, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, for the faithful to submit a prayer for FSU, tagging the Archdiocese of Miami @CatholicMiami and using the hashtag #PrayForFSU, in order to share their best wishes and prayers during these difficult moments.
The aim is to create a digital spiritual bouquet that can be later printed and shared with the Catholic campus ministers at the University.
Also, St. Augustine Church in Coral Gables, part of the Archdiocese of Miami, will celebrate Mass on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. for the FSU family.
The Mass, which will be celebrated by Msgr. Michael Carruthers, is open to the community, especially for FSU alumni in the Miami area.
St. Augustine Church is located at 1400 Miller Road, Coral Gables, FL.
