MIAMI | After months of effort and hard work, Archbishop Coleman Carroll High dedicated a new boys’ basketball locker room at the end of October.

The college-style locker room was built entirely with funds raised by team members, via donations from friends and family. It took approximately 5 months to build and includes individual, customized lockers for each player, including areas to store clothes and a secure space for valuables.

The locker room also includes a 50-inch flat-screen TV for watching game film; a refrigerator and small kitchen area; and ample space for team meetings before, during and after games.

"We are very proud and excited to be able to have a locker room of this kind and are extremely grateful to everyone who helped bring this to reality," said Juan Hernandez, the school's athletic director.
