MIAMI GARDENS | Thirteen seniors from Msgr. Edward Pace High School have been accepted into the University of Florida.
Seniors Anaika Alezi, Samantha Bacerio, Mia Bravo, Brittany Gonzalez, Mia Lama, Maya Lora, Naja Murphy, Sabrina Ortega, Holden Placide, Amanda Prats, Melissa Rey, Anna Rossi, and Melannie Sandoval all received their acceptance letters in February to join the University of Florida’s Class of 2020.
“All of these students are in the top 10 percent of their class,” said Pace college advisor Lilian Dubon.
All 13 students are deeply involved with Pace and extracurricular activities, including student executive board president Sabrina Ortega and Torch Yearbook editor Amanda Prats. They all take one or more AP classes, with six students being part of the elite Spartan Sword and Shield Program.
As more Florida universities send out acceptance letters, Msgr. Pace High will be announcing even more college acceptances in the coming weeks.
